Pickled herring is not only delicious, but also a useful dish. Herring is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help improve the work of the heart and blood vessels. It also contains protein, B vitamins, and minerals such as iodine and selenium, which are important for normal thyroid function and overall metabolism. Regular consumption of herring helps maintain healthy joints and skin, as well as boost the immune system.

Pickled herring goes perfectly with various dishes: from mashed potatoes to baked vegetables. It’s great as an appetiser, as a sandwich filling, in salads or as a main course with onion rings and mustard sauce.
