How to choose quality shoes: main criteria and secrets of choice

обувь

Not only comfort, but also the health of your feet depends on the right choice of footwear. In today’s world, many brands offer shoes for every taste and purse, but not always a high price guarantees quality.

The main criteria for choosing shoes

Materials. Quality shoes, as a rule, are made of natural materials such as leather, suede or textile. Natural leather allows the feet to breathe, adapts to the shape of the foot and provides comfort. It is also characterised by its durability and resistance to damage. Synthetic materials, on the other hand, often do not allow air to pass through, which can lead to increased sweating and discomfort.

Quality of seams and finish. Seams should be even, with no gaps or knots. Also pay attention to the finish of the shoe – it should be even, without visible traces of glue.

The sole. The sole of quality shoes should be strong, but flexible. Good shoes are characterised by shock-absorbing properties that reduce the load on the foot and spine when walking. It is also important to pay attention to the strength of the sole attachment to the upper part of the shoe – it should be securely stitched or glued.

Interior trim and insole. The inside of the shoe should be made of soft materials that do not cause irritation or allergies. The insole should provide support for the foot and be soft enough for comfortable movement. Removable insoles are another sign of quality shoes, as they can be replaced if necessary.

How to distinguish branded shoes from fake?

It is best to buy shoes from trusted sellers – in branded shops, official distributors or on the manufacturer’s website. When buying in dubious places or on unverified sites there is a high risk of running into a low-quality fake. It can be distinguished from branded shoes by several signs:

  • Logo and labelling. Real branded shoes always have a clear and neatly applied logo. Fakes often sin carelessness in this matter: the logo may be applied crookedly, have the wrong colour or fuzzy edges. It is also worth paying attention to the labelling – on the original shoes it will coincide with the information on the packaging and labels.
  • Packaging and components. Branded shoes usually come in a quality box with a branded logo, care instructions and possibly additional items such as spare laces or storage bags. Fakes often come in cheap packaging without any additional accessories.
  • Odour and texture of materials. Quality shoes made of natural materials have a distinctive leather or suede odour. Fakes made of synthetics often have a pungent chemical odour. At the same time, the texture of the fake material may be rougher or, on the contrary, too smooth compared to the original.

Shoe brands

Among the best shoe brands are Clarks, Timberland, Ecco, Dr. Martens and Nike. These companies are known for their high quality, durable products and attention to detail. They offer a wide range of models for every taste – from classic to sports shoes.

Be careful when choosing a shop to avoid fakes, and give preference to trusted brands. Then your shoes will please you for many years, providing comfort and confidence in every step.
