Our ancestors knew about the healing properties of homemade herbal liqueurs and regularly prepared this useful and tasty drink, passing down unique recipes from generation to generation.

One of the traditional strong alcoholic drinks is Yerofeich - a classic herbal liqueur based on roots and herbs with an original bitter-spicy taste and a noticeable herbal note. According to legend, a certain local healer, whose father had the illustrious name of Yerofei, procured a number of herbs for his count, which helped him to recover permanently from an unpleasant stomach ailment, known in modern medicine as an "ulcer".
The name of this count was Alexei Orlov, who rewarded his herbalist with the right to produce an "elixir" in unlimited quantities.

Ingredients: orange peel, galangal root, peppermint, camomile, sage, aniseed, fennel, star anise, licorice root.

Preparation:

Pour the contents of the packet with 1.5 liters of vodka, or alcohol with a strength of 40%
Leave to infuse for 10 days in a dark place. Shake once a day during infusion

Add a tablespoon of sugar (15-20 g) and stir until completely dissolved
Place in a dark place and leave to rest for 3 days
Dilute with 40% to 3 liters
You can dilute less, then the taste will be more intense
Place in a dark place and leave the drink to rest for 2 days after dilution
